Good morning, peace

This morning, I was greeted by a “Ga, ma!” (Lauren-speak for good morning) and a fantastically beautiful smile. What a way to start the day! For Lauren, her peace is found in knowing she is absolutely loved and cared for, and she lavishes that love on her family. God wants my devotion and trust to be the same.

“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock…You are a God who does what is right, and you smooth out the path ahead f them. Lord, we show our trust in you by obeying your laws; our heart’s desire is to glorify your name.” – Isaiah 26: 3,4,7b, 8

Time to nix the inaction

It’s definitely time. Do you know the feeling when you’ve sat for way too long, your backside is sore and your knees beg to be stretched? Calisthenics are in order! Maybe not the death crawl yet, but it’s time to get up and get moving. So, here is my start. Once upon a time, life was much simpler. I’m sure that’s a story many of us can claim. But, if my life were easier, I would miss the rich blessings of working on a fulfilling marriage, watching my children discover the world around them and its Creator and being captivated by the wonder of all God has given me to live for and to love deeply.

It’s time to be in action and to nix the inaction.
