Hosanna to the King of Kings

Today, on our first day of 2 Weeks 2 the Cross, we entered Jerusalem with Jesus, shouting Hosanna to the King of Kings! The kids created a path around the living room with blankets, like the crowds throwing down their robes as Jesus came down into the city. Worship is personal, and Jesus loves our praises! We colored palm prints to create our own palm branches. Then we held a parade of sorts, with loud hosannas and waving palm branches to imagine what it might have been like the day Jesus triumphantly rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. Jackson even decided to be the donkey, and Lauren (as Jesus) rode on his back on the path they had made.

Read about Jesus’ triumphal entry in Mark 11:1-11.
