Do this to remember Me

Today as a family, we gathered around and shared bread and juice to remember the death of Jesus. We broke bread together and prayed, asking God to clean our hearts and thanking Him for breaking His body on the cross to save us. We passed a cup of grape juice around our circle, thanking Jesus for being our perfect sacrifice and shedding His blood to cover our sins.

Family Communion is one of the most special traditions we observe around Easter. In fact, Jackson arranged our living room, with pillows for each of us to sit around the ottoman, before I had even gotten out of bed this morning in anticipation of sharing the Lord’s Supper.

Read Matthew 26:26-30 with your family this week before Resurrection Sunday, and then follow Jesus’ instructions to remember what He did for you.

We finished up our 2 Weeks 2 the Cross time singing praise, just as the disciples did as they left the Upper Room and headed out to the Garden of Gethsemane.

Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so. Little ones to Him belong. They are weak but He is strong. Yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me. The Bible tells me so.
