Christmas Countdown Day 9 focused on Joseph. God chose a righteous man to be His Son’s earthly dad. In a dream, an angel came to Joseph so he would know what Mary said was true about the child she was carrying. God gave Joseph the responsibility of naming His Son Jesus, and Joseph obeyed. We made ornaments of Joseph, and then played with the Mary and Gabriel ornaments to tell the Christmas story so far. We also talked about fathers, and the kids shared what they loved about their daddy (Lauren: “his hugs and kisses”, Jackson: “that he plays with me.”)
