Jesus wants me to keep watch (Day 7 of 2 Weeks 2 the Cross)

NOT my will, but YOUR will.
NOT my will, but YOUR will.

Tonight, we really sympathized with the plight of the disciples.

Our 2 Weeks 2 the Cross time was pushed much later than we intended. When we got back from an outing, we rushed to sit down and begin our Easter emphasis, even though it was time for bed.

It was hard for Jackson and Lauren to keep their eyes open, just like the disciples struggled to stay awake when Jesus asked them to keep watch and pray.

Day 7 took us to the Garden of Gethsemane and Matthew 26:36-46, as Jesus earnestly prayed to His Father that if there was any other way to save us, to do that. Yet, “not my will, but your will.”

We made prayer hands tonight to help us remember that God’s will is most important.

And, we managed to stay awake, too.
