Though I’ve read today’s 2 Weeks 2 the Cross Scripture passage many times, it still cuts deep into my heart. Jesus was crucified. He was beaten, tortured, spit upon, nailed to a cross and lifted up to suffer. And, He did it all for me.

Pilate ordered a sign be placed on the cross: This is Jesus, King of the Jews.

Only King Jesus could take our place. Only He was worthy.

Today, we made cross sun catchers. In the midst of a very cloudy afternoon, God allowed the sun to shine brightly through the window as we hung our finished projects. The colors were beautiful, streaming from the cross, just as His love flowed from the wooden one more than 2,000 years ago.
