Jesus rubbed the dirt off each of his disciples feet, and wiped them off with a towel wrapped around His waist. 

The King of Kings chose to be the servant of all.

On Day 4 of 2 Weeks 2 the Cross, we let John 13:1-20 sink into our hearts. Jesus humbled Himself to serve His friends, even the one who would betray Him. He put their needs ahead of His. Jesus provided a beautiful example of what it means to truly love, and got down on His knees like a slave.

After discussing the Scripture passage, our family gathered in the kitchen and washed each other’s feet. As the leader of our home, Matt washed each of our feet first. Then the rest of us followed. Our feet got really clean, and the water became pretty dirty!

We finished our time praying around the water bowl, thanking Jesus for showing us how to serve.
